Ashburton Museum and Historical Society Inc. is the 'friends of the museum' group.

The Society own the collection, held in trust for the people of Ashburton and all New Zealanders. We hold regular events to promote and deepen understanding of local and national history.

Members assist the Museum in many ways, including fundraising, events and volunteering.

Society members receive regular newsletters, enjoy interesting speakers at regular meetings and reduced entry to society events; as well as reduced research rates.

Annual subscriptions are $15 per year for one person; $20.00 per year for family membership at the same address; $5.00 for students and $35 for corporate members. A life membership may be purchased for $250.
